MANILA, April 3 ------ The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. has unveiled the 36 official candidates for Binibining Pilipinas 2025. Representing different regions across the country, the Filipinas will compete for two prestigious international crowns: Miss International and Miss Globe — with Miss International being the most coveted title.
Among this year’s candidates is actress Dalia Khattab, a Star Magic talent and first-time pageant contender, who expressed her excitement about entering the pageant world after years in showbiz. “This is my first pageant and I’m honestly so grateful to have experienced so much already with ABS-CBN,” she shared. “I’m very, very grateful to have been guided by the best managers, the best mentors and now I’m with Aces and Queens. So that’s really exciting that I get to blossom in this industry, this new, not-so-different industry compared to show business," she added. When asked what inspired her to join Binibining Pilipinas, Dalia said she "figured maybe it’s time for me to represent my community, Las Piñas, and then hopefully the Philippines.”
Another standout candidate is Mia Betina A. Golosino, who is known for having an IQ score of 162 — placing her in the genius category. “I was only 11 years old when I took the test,” she recalled. “The purpose of taking that test was to appeal to a different school. I think taking an IQ test is only one form of measuring intelligence. Emotional intelligence is just as important.”
Mia, who studied English literature, French, and economics in the UK, is set to pursue law at university. Also making waves is early Miss International frontrunner Annabelle Mae McDonell of Iligan City. “I’m absolutely ecstatic. There were 80 applicants today and being part of the top 36 is already a huge achievement,” she said. “I’m really grateful to be here and to represent my hometown,” she added.
