Barbie Forteza and David Licauco champion cause for children's safety

June 7 ------ Barbie Forteza and David Licauco reaffirmed their vow to advocate for child protection in the country. The Kapuso love team, also known as "BarDa," starred in a shoot for Save the Children Philippines this June. It marked the continuation of their support for the organization, which introduced them as its official ambasssadors in 2024.

Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza shared her thoughts on using her platform for a good cause. "I am blessed with this kind of profession and platform bilang aktor at bilang artista to influence and inspire other people to raise awareness and to join Save the Children Philippines."

David Licauco on his influence

David Licauco,likewise, emphasized the importance of using his influence for the benefit of children. "I guess 'yun naman talaga 'yung beauty ng pagiging isang artista, mayroong influence and definitely Save the Children ay isang magandang organization for me to use the influence that I have."

In their new campaign, Barbie Forteza and David Licauco highlight the impact of the rainy season on children's learning and safety.

Back to school

This rainy season, which coincides with the opening of the new school year, Barbie Forteza said, "Dapat masiguro nating may ligtas, pantay, at makabuluhang pagkatuto ang bawat bata, lalakio man o babae."

Preparation

David Licauco believes that preparing children is crucial for their well-being. "Hindi lang ulan ang dapat paghandaan kung hindi ang epekto nito sa kabataan. Kailangan nating siguraduhin na tuloy ang pag-aaral at ligtas ang bawat bata."

For the children

Barbie Forteza emphasized the importance of education, safety, and other essential needs for children. "Together, we will be able to provide the proper education, safe environment, livelihood, proper guidance, for our future leaders, and game changers."

David Licauco said being an ambassador of the organization is a blessing: "Having a platform to inspire and save the children is a huge blessing for me. I'm really grateful na nabigyan ako ng opportunity na ganito. Hopefully, I get to inspire the children to be better."
