September 24 ------ Viva Films brings young stars Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga to the big screen in “Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna,” written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.
The romantic drama follows Raffy, a shy high school student and flower enthusiast, who spends years expressing his affection for Luna, a jaded visual artist, by giving her flowers at significant points in her life. What starts as a sweet, youthful crush grows into a layered relationship that is tested as they move into college and confront the realities of growing up.
Laxamana, known for “100 Tula Para Kay Stella,” “Just a Stranger” and “Expensive Candy,” once again explores the raw and complicated sides of love in this coming-of-age story. With Muhlach and Olviga in their first film together, the movie promises to capture both the excitement of first love and the ache of heartbreak through their on-screen chemistry.
The supporting cast includes Joko Diaz, Giselle Sanchez, Gene Padilla, Marnie Lapus, MJ Cayabyab, VJ Mendoza, Phoebe Walker, Bob Jbeili, Lance Carr, Sam Shoaf, Yuki Sakamoto, Phoebe Villamor, and Jastine Lim. A celebration of young love, Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna tells a heartfelt story of persistence and the quiet hope that something beautiful can bloom, no matter how long it takes. The film opens in nationwide cinemas today.
