October 11 ------ Sylvia Sanchez said her son Arjo Atayde made the right choice in choosing Maine Mendoza as his wife, saying the TV host-actress is the type of partner who’s “very supportive” of her husband’s endeavors.
Sanchez sang praises for her daughter-in-law during a brief interview with reporters at the celebrity premiere of “Monster” earlier this month, according to Inquirer Bandera. “Si Maine [Mendoza], asawa na niya, natutuwa na ako. Less na ako sama-sama sa kanya (Arjo Atayde). Nakakatuwa kasi talagang si Maine, misis na misis kay Arjo,” she was quoted as saying.
Sanchez also disclosed that Mendoza now accompanies Atayde whenever he needs to fulfill his duties as an actor and producer. “Talagang sobra niyang suportahan si Arjo. Nandu’n siya talaga. Talagang nakikita kong mabait siyang asawa,” she said, noting how much she can feel the “EAT” host’s love for Atayde. “Hindi nagkamali ang anak ko sa pagpili kay Maine. Nakampante siya, nakampante ako na merong Maine Mendoza na nag-aalaga at nagmamahal sa anak ko ngayon," she further said.
