Another fuel price rollback seen

Metro Manila, December 12 ------ Motorists can expect another fuel price rollback, according to industry forecasts.

In its advisory, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said per-liter prices of diesel may be slashed by P3.30 to P3.40 for the Dec. 13-19 period. Gasoline costs, on the other hand, may go down by P1.80 to P1.90 per liter.

In the past weeks, the Department of Energy has pointed to global developments — including movements in the United States’ fuel inventory — as factors behind the price cuts.
