March 2 ------ Anne Curtis gave followers a glimpse of a tense travel moment after he flight bound for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was forced to return to Italy due to continuing conflict and airstrikes in the Middle East.

In a series of Instagram Stories, the "It's Showtime" host shared a photo of her view from inside a plane, saying she was en route to Dubai in the UAE to reunite with her family. “Was on my way to meet my little fam in Dubai when I noticed a high-speed jet flying beside us,” she wrote in her first post. “I notice another one, and next thing I knew, they announced we would be turning around and making our way back to Milan due to the airstrikes. All flights to the Middle East have been grounded,” she said in the follow-up story.

The actress said she was praying for "all the families in the Middle East." "Hoping things ease soon," she added. Curtis was in the Italian city to attend fashion week, based on posts on her Instagram account. Conflict broke out in the Middle East on Saturday after the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran, whose state media reported the following day that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed.

Iran retaliated by launching a wave of missile and drone strikes across the region, including in the United Arab Emirates, where Dubai — one of the world's busiest international hubs, serves as a connection point for flights between Europe and Asia.
