October 16 ------ Thailand’s Chayathanus Saradatta was crowned The Miss Globe 2025 at the conclusion of the pageant’s “world final” in Tirana, Albania, on Wednesday evening, Oct. 15 (early morning of the 16th in Manila), while the Philippines’ Annabelle McDonell finished at the Top 11, sustaining the country’s placement streak in the global tilt.

Saradatta entered the semifinals by amassing the most votes as the People’s Choice, and bested 49 other aspirants from around the globe in ceremonies held in Tirana to inherit the title from last year’s winner, Colombian queen Diana Moreno. Settling for the first runner-up spot was host-delegate Valentina Gegprifti of Albania, while Samantha Sarelli of the United States finished as second runner-up. Jolien Pede of Belgium was proclaimed third runner-up, while Jennifer Chang of Cuba rounded up the final five as fourth runner-up.

McDonnell, meanwhile, was propelled to the Top 11 when she topped the “Head-to-Head” Challenge, a series of competitions where the delegates were split into groups to showcase their communication skills and grasp of a vast array of topics. This was not her first international competition. As first runner-up in the 2022 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, she was appointed to represent the Philippines in the inaugural edition of the Miss Charm pageant in Vietnam in 2023. She finished as first runner-up. McDonnell earned the right to represent the Philippines in this year’s edition of The Miss Globe pageant by winning one of the crowns in the 2025 Binibining Pilipinas contest held in June.

The recent staging of The Miss Globe pageant has been promoted by organizer Deliart Association as its 22nd edition. This move has further established the competition as a standalone entity from the earlier iteration of the contest that started in 1974, and where Binibining Pilipinas Maricar Balagtas became the first Asian winner in 2001.

Under the Deliart Association, the Philippines has an active placement streak that has extended to 11 successive editions. It started in 2015 with Bb. Pilipinas Ann Colis posted the Philippines’ first victory. Maureen Montagne became the second Filipino woman to win the title in 2021.
