April 22 ------ Based on PAGASA’s daily observation, Angat Dam’s water level descended by 0.41 meters (m) from 192.52 m water reservoir on April 19 to 192.11 m. PAGASA said Angat Dam had a rule curve of 187.73 m—the measurement of water level that has to be met or stored.

Angat Dam supports the potable water supply to almost the entirety of Metro Manila and serves as the repository for the irrigation of 25,000-hectare rice fields in Bulacan and areas in Pampanga. PAGASA noted that the high level of evaporation of water and slow replenishment due to less rainfall activity affected the continuous decrease in the dam’s water level.
