MANILA, Philippines, June 10 ------ Alodia Gosiengfiao-Quimbo has been gushing about motherhood since welcoming her firstborn son, Cameron, with businessman-husband Christopher Quimbo. The popular content creator and cosplayer gave birth to Cameron in November last year.

The STAR caught up with Alodia at the grand opening of Midnight Dream Studio, a concept studio situated at the K-Park, On Top of The Glo, Glorietta Mall in Makati. “Motherhood has changed me a lot. It’s really a lot of planning and partnership with my husband and it’s a different feeling if you care for someone, especially your child,” she said in an exclusive interview. “The most challenging part really is yung sinasabi nila na nauubusan ka ng time. It’s true because you really spend time with your baby and whatnot but it’s like super rewarding and you lose track of time. (His) smiles, laughter, sobrang saya,” she added.

On what types of parents they are to Cameron, Alodia said, “As much as I wanted to be balanced, I think for now we kind of spoil him with stuff because he doesn’t know much pa naman. So, maybe in the future, we will balance that.” At an early age, Alodia noticed that her son was drawn to music. “My mom tried to sing to him and then he was trying to make sabay. It’s really cute,” she enthused. She believed that Cameron inherited such interest from his dad. “’Cause as much as I want to, I guess singing is not for me. He (Christopher) sings well,” she said of her husband, who’s also the president and general manager Calabria Company Ltd. (the firm behind Novellino Wines). Asked about having a second child, she answered, laughing, “We shall see if we’re blessed with baby No. 2.”

Moreover, Alodia used to frequent concept studios when she was single and for her cosplay shows. But now, she would go to such places during special occasions. Her last visit to the Midnight Dream Studio, prior to the grand opening, was during her baby’s first photo shoot. She first met the owner of the studio, Niccolo Cosme, more than a decade ago when she collaborated with him for a photo shoot. “How I also came to know about his place was actually on TikTok since last year pa,” Alodia further enumerated her favorite spots in the studio.

“I really like the white room ‘cause it’s versatile. And then, there’s a place here that has stairs, kinda reminds me of like street photography. There’s also the ‘Squid Game’ room, the red and purple one. ‘Is it still there?’ I (also) love all the flowers. There’s one room with flowers on nylon. So, it’s just like hanging.” Meanwhile, Niccolo shared with this paper that the studio opened in October last year under a different management. He acquired the place just a month ago from previous Korean owners.
