March 19 ------ Reigning Miss Eco International Alexie Brooks flew to London to crown the lady on whose shoulders lie the United Kingdom’s chances of taking the crown she currently wears.

The Ilongga national athlete-turned-beauty queen was the special guest at the staging of the 2026 Miss Eco International United Kingdom held at the Old Town Hall, Stratford in London. “Grateful to have traveled all the way to London to serve as a judge for Miss Eco UK last night. [Stars emoji] It was an honor to witness such inspiring and empowered women on stage,” Brooks posted on social media.

Besting nine other aspirants was North London’s Mia Farley, who inherited the national title from Victoria Repolli Inglis, who finished fourth runner-up in last year’s international competition. Inglis was born to Filipino parents with roots in Ilocos and Pangasinan. She is based in Scotland and was originally set to represent the country before the global organizers appointed her to carry the entire kingdom.

UK-based Filipino Aileen Carandang of Crown of Crowns International United Kingdom is the national director of the Miss Eco International pageant in the kingdom. Farley will try to exceed Inglis’ placement and post the United Kingdom’s first victory in the Miss Eco International pageant in Egypt in May. She will face Philippine bet Gabriella Carballo, a medical doctor from Cebu, in the 2026 Miss Eco International pageant that will be hosted in Alexandria.
