Alex Eala enters W25 Macon main draw

MANILA, Philippines, February 23 ------ Tennis star Alex Eala took care of business in her qualifying matches to enter the main draw of the W25 Macon tennis tournament in France. Eala dispatched a pair of hometown bets, beating Ines Nicault, 6-4, 6-3, on Monday after knocking off Helena Stevic, 6-0, 7-5, on Sunday.

Eala campaign in the main draw starts on Wednesday against Anna Ukolova of Russia in the Round of 32. Ukolova beat Celia Cervino Ruiz of Spain, 6-2, 6-4, in their qualifying match on Monday.

The 16-year-old Eala aims to have a deeper run this time after getting the boot in the last 16 of the ITF W60 Grenoble on Thursday.
