Signal No. 2 remains hoisted in some Luzon areas including the southeastern portion of Isabela (Dinapigue and Palanan), the northern portion of Aurora (Baler, Dipaculao, Dinalungan, Dilasag and Casiguran) and Polillo Islands.
Signal No. 1 is up in the northeastern and southern portion of Isabela (Divilacan, San Mariano, San Guillermo, Jones, Echague, San Agustin, Ilagan City, Benito Soliven, City of Cauayan, Maconacon, Angadanan and Naguilian), the eastern portion of Quirino (Maddela, Nagtipunan and Aglipay), the eastern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castañeda, Dupax del Sur and Dupax del Norte), the rest of Aurora, eastern portion of Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gabaldon, Bongabon, Pantabangan, Rizal, General Mamerto Natividad, Laur, Palayan City, Peñaranda, San Leonardo, City of Gapan, Cabanatuan City, Santa Rosa and Llanera), the eastern portion of Bulacan (San Miguel, San Ildefonso, Doña Remedios Trinidad and Norzagaray), Rizal, the northeastern portion of Laguna (Pakil, Mabitac, Pangil, Famy, Siniloan, Santa Maria, Paete, Kalayaan and Lumban), the northern and central portions of Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Mauban, Perez, Alabat, Quezon, Calauag, Tagkawayan, Guinayangan, Lopez, Atimonan, Gumaca and Plaridel), and the western portion of Camarines Norte (Santa Elena, Vinzons, Labo, Capalonga, Paracale, Talisay, Jose Panganiban, San Vicente and Daet) including Calaguas Islands.
Torres said the center of the eye of the typhoon was estimated some 105 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora as it was moving north-northeastward at 10 kilometers per hour. "Aghon will continue to intensify over the next two days as it moves northeastward over the Philippine Sea," Torres said. "A weakening trend may begin on mid or late Wednesday as the typhoon begins interacting with the mid-latitude environment and undergo post-tropical transition," she added.
Aghon may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
