November 8 ------ ABS-CBN has announced it will postpone the launch of its 2025 Christmas Station ID following the devastation caused by Typhoon Tino in Cebu and nearby provinces. In a statement, the network said it decided to move the launch “to a later date” out of respect for those affected by the recent calamities.
“Every year, ABS-CBN ushers in the holiday season with our joyful Christmas ID that brings families, friends, and communities together. In light of the recent calamities that have affected our Kapamilyas across the Philippines, we will be moving the launch of our 2025 Christmas ID to a later date,” read the announcement.
The Ignacia-based network also encouraged the public to extend donations through their foundation. “We also invite the public to help those in need by donating money, food, and hygiene kits through the ABS-CBN Foundation. As one family, let’s work together in providing aid and support to our kababayans in need. Sama-sama tayo sa anumang hamon, Kapamilya!” concluded the statement.
Typhoon Tino struck large parts of Cebu and nearby provinces earlier this week. The Office of Civil Defense confirmed at least 114 deaths and 127 people missing. As of this writing, ABS-CBN hasn’t disclosed the new release date of the Christmas Station ID, which was initially planned to be released on Nov. 10 and 14. Last year’s edition, titled “Our Stories Shine This Christmas,” highlighted stories of resilience and hope across the country.
