7.0-magnitude quake hits Tadine, New Caledonia

NEW YORK — An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted 271 km ESE of Tadine, New Caledonia at 20:57:05 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 22.7 degrees south latitude and 170.2 degrees east longitude.
