May 28 ------ Boxing legend Mike Tyson has teased fans about a possible comeback when he posted a training video on Instagram. Now, a return to the ring seems to be getting more and more likely after WBC heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury revealed that he has received feelers for a bout with the former world champion.
"I had a phone call saying, 'Would you like to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition fight?' I said, 'Hell yeah,' but I don't think anything's materialized out of it," Fury told BT Sport in an interview. Tyson, 53, said he could return to the ring in exhibitions to raise money for charity.
Aside from Fury, several fighters have expressed their interest to challenge the American star. Potential opponents include fellow retired boxer Evander Holyfield and New Zealand rugby great Sonny Bill Williams. A fight with Fury, however, would be an interesting match between a former and current heavyweight champion. Fury is coming off a huge victory against Deontay Wilder by a seventh round technical knockout in February.
