Philippines at No. 22 in 3x3 world

MANILA, Philippines, May 3 ------ With the International Basketball Federation freezing its 3x3 World Rankings in light of the sports hiatus, the Philippines stays as the No. 22 federation with Pasig-Chooks being its best club team. Bannered by top local 3x3 cagers Joshua Munzon (187, 485) and Alvin Pasaol (124,986), Pasig-Chooks from the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 League is the world’s 27th best. The halt on the 3x3 rankings will remain in effect until the world governing body lifts the suspension on all its events. Serbian ace Dusan Bulut remains the No. 1 3x3 player in the world with 823,194 points. His squad Novi Sad sits at third place in the world team rankings behind another Serbian unit Liman and Latvia’s Riga. Russia, meanwhile, paces the federation rankings followed by USA and France. The freezing of 3x3 rankings came a month after the postponement of 2020 events led by the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in India and the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in China.
