IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation wraps up last batch ofIMO Model Course 6.09


Last 26 October 2018, the last batch of trainees of the IMO Model Course 6.09 - Training Course for Instructors, offered by the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, Inc., completed the program with a graduation ceremony held at the JSU-AMOSUP Mariner’s Home, 1765 Vasquez St. corner Nakpil Sts., Malate, Manila. A total of nineteen (19) participants from the Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI) member maritime higher education institutions participated in the training.


The recently concluded IMO Model Course 6.09 is the last delivery of instructors’ training for the year 2018. The course is designed and is intended for seafarers and non-seafarers who would like to obtain the basic competencies of a teacher. It aims to teach planning and preparation of effective teaching and instruction; the selection of appropriate methods of instruction and teaching materials; and the evaluation of the teaching and learning process.


The 10-day course was facilitated by four (4) instructors namely, Ms. Ana Maria Jasmin M. Sampedro, Ms. Ma. Teresa H. Inocencio, Mr. Wenifredo G. Sola and Mr. Dennis G. Tan.

During the ceremony, the elected Class President, Mr. Alano F. Fuellas, gave a special message to his fellow graduates. Likewise, the following participants were recognized for their exemplary performance in the Final Practice Teaching activity of the course:

2. Mr. Grejun D. Gonzaga

3. Mr. Rigor G. Regalado


Lastly, Certificates of Attendance were also awarded to all graduates.
