Former NFL star Gronkowski to host 2-day WrestleMania

March 21 ------ Former New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski will serve as the host of WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania 36. The retired player made the announcement on Twitter, and added another bombshell: this year's WrestleMania is "gonna be too big for just one night." "For the first time, WrestleMania will be a two-night event," Gronkowski announced.

WrestleMania 36 will be held on April 4 and 5, the first time that the "Showcase of the Immortals" will be held across multiple days in its history. WWE initially announced that it will hold the event in its training facility in Orlando, Florida, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has since been confirmed that WrestleMania "will include multiple locations over two nights."

Among the matches already confirmed for 'Mania are the Universal Championship showdown between Goldberg and Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch's defense of the RAW Women's title against Shayna Baszler. Drew McIntyre, the winner of this year's Royal Rumble, will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. More details will be announced by Gronkowski on SmackDown on FOX.
