Atom Araullo joins Cate Blanchett and Ben Stiller in virtual conference on protecting refugees

May 4 ------ Atom Araullo is Philippine representative to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees virtual conference. The UNHCR is a United Nations agency with the mandate to protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people, and assist in their voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement to a third country. The journalist was joined by UNHCR goodwill ambassadors and high-profile supporters of the organization, including Hollywood celebrities Cate Blanchett and Ben Stiller. According to Atom’s manager, Noel Ferrer, the participants talked about how they can support forcibly displaced communities during the coronavirus pandemic. On his social media accounts, Atom called for donations for the most vulnerable sectors of the community amid health crisis.
