Adie’s ‘Paraluman’ among top tunes on Spotify PH

September 16 ------ Early this year, Adie was a virtual unknown. Thanks to “Paraluman,” he is now among biggest acts in the land. What a difference one hit song makes. Note that “Paraluman” is currently one of several top ranking original Pinoy songs on Spotify’s Top 50 Philippines. Since Adie’s breakout with “Paraluman” around the second quarter of 2021, the song has gained over 17 million listens on the streaming platform. Adie has also subsequently gained over 1.2 million monthly listeners.

Adie’s other songs such as “Luha” (released back in 2020) and the more recent “Dungaw,” all have grown remarkable traction in terms of listens and has introduced Adie to a broader audience. The official music video for “Paraluman” that featured Ivana Alawi has also reached 5.4 million views since it was released 3 months ago. Apparently, Adie’s brand of acoustic, alt-pop tinged balladry and lilting falsettos is resonating with Pinoy pop listeners.

Due to the song’s continuously growing popularity, the song was used as the theme song as well as the title of a soon-to-be-released film “Paraluman” starring Rhen Escaño and Jao Mapa. The film will premiere on Vivamax, the local subscription for streaming movie platform starting Sept. 24. Meanwhile Adie is taking all the attention that he and his song is getting in stride. “I’m overwhelmed with how “Paraluman” was accepted by listeners and I thank all of them,” Adie said.
