ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
PJMCC is a non-stock, non-profit organization duly registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 07 January 2002. It is currently composed of 59 member manning companies providing seafarers to Japanese owned, operated or chartered vessels that are covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between JSU and AMOSUP.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
PJMCC Member manning companies enjoy the following benefits:
1. Member manning companies can endorse seafarers for the following JATF Training Courses offered by PJMCC for FREE:
- Crude Oil Tanker Cargo Handling Course
- LNG Cargo Handling Course
- Diesel Plant Course
- Chemical and Product Tanker Course
Please note, however, that above courses are exclusively for seafarers who are JSU-AMOSUP members and whose previous or future vessel assignments are covered by a JSU/AMOSUP-IMMAJ CBA.
Above courses are conducted in partnership with MTC-accredited training centers and have been running for more than 5 years now.
2. Member manning companies can endorse office personnel and shipboard officers to the following trainings conducted by PJMCC for FREE:
- IMO Model Course 6.09 Training for Instructors
- IMO Model Course 3.12 Training for Assessors
- Instructors' Training for Management Level Course
For your information, PJMCC is duly accredited by the Maritime Training Courses to conduct the above courses.
Other entry requirements for each course are set for applicants to meet as condition for acceptance.
3. Member manning companies have access to the Balitang Marino (BM) website and inclusion in the BM Daily News mailing list.
4. Member manning companies can get cadets in the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) and other maritime schools all over the country through the IMMAJ-PJMCC Cadetship Training Program.
Under this program, cadets (both MAAP and non-MAAP) are distributed to PJMCC member manning companies for shipboard training onboard the TS Kapitan Felix Oca (3months) and the Principal's international commercial vessel (9 months), which should be covered by a JSU/AMOSUP-IMMAJ CBA. After the shipboard training, the Principal can reimburse USD235/cadet/month stipend paid to the cadet for the entire duration of the shipboard training onboard Principal’s vessels. Reimbursement will be made thru the manning agent.

Aside from the above, PJMCC also provides consultative work on matters related to training, regulations, wage level and collective bargaining agreements before local and foreign maritime bodies and industries. PJMCC has also occupied itself with other activities and programs which ultimately ushered in significant developments and achievements towards preserving the Philippines’ important role in the international shipping market. These activities include the following:

c) PRC Walk-In Examination System
d) Philippine-Japan Manning Cooperative Forum 2008
e) Japan-Philippines Manning Conference 2006

MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A member manning company, represented by its Official Company Representative, shall have the following rights and benefits:
1. To exercise the right to vote on all matters relating to the affairs of the PJMCC;
2. To be eligible to any elective or appointive office of the PJMCC;
3. To participate in all deliberations/ meetings of the PJMCC
4. To avail of the facilities of the PJMCC and participate in its projects; and
5. To have access to the records or books of the PJMCC during business hours.
Moreover, a member shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
1. To obey and comply with the By-Laws, rules and regulations that may be promulgated by the PJMCC from time to time;
2. To attend all meetings of the PJMCC; and
3. To pay membership dues and other assessments of the PJMCC (Schedule of Fees attached).
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
An applicant manning company will be required to submit the following documents to the PJMCC:
a) Accomplished Membership Application Form (as attached)
b) Accomplished JATF Training Courses Survey Questionnaire (also attached)
c) Copy of SEC Registration
d) Copy of POEA License
e) Complete List of Manning Company Officers and Directors
f) Complete List of Vessels covered by the JSU/AMOSUP - IMMAJ CBA, indicating total number of crew (Filipino and non-Filipino).
All documents should be submitted to the Secretariat, in the following address:

The PJMCC Membership Committee shall process and evaluate the manning company’s application only upon complete receipt of all the required documents. Likewise, a Letter of Confirmation/Non-confirmation of Membership shall be sent to the company as soon as the evaluation process is completed.
A newly approved member is awarded with a Certificate of Membership.
