Applying make-up is not that hard, you don't always have to go to a salon and have it done by a professional. Just follow these simple steps then you'll be ready to go.
1. Choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on blemishes or under-eye circles then blend using your fingertips or makeup sponge. Apply eye cream if your concealer tends to cake.
2. Choose foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Dot on forehead, nose, cheeks and chin then blend in an upward and outward motion.
3. Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.
4. Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.
5. Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark shade to line your upper eyelid. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow.
6. Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil. Apply on the lower lid below the lashes. Line the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look.
7. Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness.
8. Your blush should go on the apples of your cheeks to radiate when you smile. It should not go closer to your nose but directly beneath the iris of your eyes; below nostril level and into your temple hairline.
9. Choose a lipstick color that suits your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits.
10. Define the shape of your lips using a lip liner that closely matches the color of your lipstick. Apply your lipstick then blend the liner with a lip brush. Start from the center working outwards.
