Usually served with egg and rice, Tapa is a common breakfast of Filipinos. This recipe consists of dried beef strips marinated in vinegar and soy sauce.
Ingredients:
3 lbs. pork, thinly sliced
1/2 cup soy sauce
7 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup vinegar
3 cloves garlic, minced
Procedure:
1. Wash tapa thoroughly then mix in all ingredients. Store in a container and refrigate for three days.
2. Dry in the sun for one whole day.
3. Fry until meat is tender.
*You could also dry them in the oven. Place it on a cookie sheet then bake at 140 F for five hours.
